50mm DMS coilovers

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

DMS are the best motorsport coilovers you can get. Alot of guys in Aus run them. They are around 5k for a set new. Not sure how much a rebuild is worth. They have so many adjustable points on them that im sure they could be made VERY streety.

hotbits

hey man how do u find ur hotbits ones. ijust got mine the other day, havent had a chance to put them on yet as im overseas, are they the orange and black k sport ones?

Mine are silver (old street/race - non adjustable dampner)

I rallyed on these for a yr, not completely happy with the spring rates or valving, but they are MUCH better then std items

reason being is because i can get me hands on a set for a very good price but don't know the condition of them, and how they perform

If the price is good, GET them, and then get them rebuilt (they can be rebuilt 100000000000000's of times  )

EDIT:
Actually, DONT get them, tell me where they are

however a rebuild would cost about $250 - $300 a corner, on average, thats just for new seals etc, if stuff is broken, they go up to about 1k each.. these are aprox costs, from what it costs to re build our proflex (which do contain some DMS Parts).

give them a call on 02 6024 4734 and ask!

DMS are good and if its a good price they are worth it, which spec are they tarmac or gravel?

ive spend a fair bit of time driving an evo 3 with Dms, and they are pretty good for the street, (this was a rally car mind you) and really really make a huge improvement

as for what jon said yeh DMS one of the best, but certinally not the best, but performance for $$$ they are great!

Ok, just want to add my 2 cents.

Waaaaayyyy over kill for street use. While im sure they will be awesome in whatever you use them for.

50mm DSMs are what rally guys use...if they can afford them.

Hotbits/d2s or whatever should be more then enough for street/light track use.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
