ok heres an odd one, the mits galant 5th gen was a mist magna here in aust. we all know it was a POS and a granny car but we got the short end of the crap stick

the rest of the world got this....
engine variants:
1.6 L Saturn I4
1.8 L I4 TD
2.0 L Astron I4
2.0 L Astron I4 turbo <-- WTF?
6G72 3.0 L V6

we got stuck with:
2.6 L Astron 2 carby
2.6 L Astron 2 I4

drank fuel and went like a pos....

yes someone has a stock TURBO MAGNA in the world somewere.... they also came out with body kits stock from mits japan, all we got was the magna elite...

interesting basis for a sleeper though now that i have read the background.....

end of my bored em anyone want to share some odd info about mits'?

Now we're talking!!! Thats not a Magna, its a Sigma GSR :D

there was also a little brother version- a cross between an EX Lancer GSR and a GSR-X sigma, and it was called the Tredia GSR. These are ULTRA rare cars.

also as rare as the Cordia Turbo AWD

there is a turbo tp magna getting around clayton with over 200@wheels,

looks stock as, until the bonnet is open. still 2.6 though with a big huffer

If I remember correctly, a magna is an elongated galant, ie, it isn't a galant at all... it makes sense however that the Sigma GSX-R is a galant, as old sigmas are badged galants elsewhere in the world.

the equivilent of our 2nd gen magna (tr/ts) were sigma's offshore in NZ, europe. The Japanese and American ones were badged as Diamantes, and the Australian models were just crappy old Magna's and Veradas lol.

The majority of TR/TS magnas in NZ are diamantes- with only the NZ new (australian made) magnas named magnas

specs for aus...... buahahah i think a brick with wheels handles better and i would know.... the NZ versions might be a hell of alot better as they were EX police cars at one stage.....
