Due to wakeup call on the road on the weekend (nearly being killed by some fucktard coming the other way on the wrong side of the road) I have decided that we need to cut down the distance that my wife has to drive to work each day by buying a unit in Hobart.
So sadly to afford this my Evo has to go....
2001 aus delivered 6.5 tme
I have been informed that this car is number 92 0f 98 released.
31,000 ks and in very good condition
Proflex suspension
FIA spec chromo cage
Sparco pro 2000 seats and 6 point 3" harnesses
Sparco wheel and quick release boss
Peltor fmt 200 intercom and brand new open face headsets-Valued at $1400
Coralba Cgiant professional trip computer with Cview driver viewer and nabv floor reset button- replacement cost $3000
Driver and nav floor plates and map light.
Helmet net, first aid kit and safety triangles.
Haltech piggy back.
Also comes with 4 spare enkie 10 spoke TME rims in great condition.
Car has only just been inspected and granted Tasmanian special interest rego, also has current CAMS vehicle log book.
Also has brand new set of front and rear pagid blue brake pads fitted last week and still yet to be bedded in- which cost me $900.

Since buying this car in late June I have used it in 2 hillclimbs and 3 club days and always oil changed it after an event.
It is an absolute pleasure to drive and is an extremely regretful sale.
Car will also be advertised on my105 in the near future, will post link once ad is online.

$30,000

all I have to say is Im glad your both ok man. thats the main thing.

a mad car for a mad price. this car has be built very well and peter muir
from bond roll cages led the build on this car for the origianl owner.

great car with big dollar components

the cage is a fully welded chrome moly one lorrie, the vin# says yes(as it is an ozzie car) but the cage says no.

it would be rally rego only unless you removed the cage which isnt really a viable option.

Unsure on the cage.. But i believe you can get it registered as a 2 seater.

it has welded in door intrusion bars which rules out full road rego. its a bloody good race/rally car.

sad to see this one go, i cant imagine how scott must feel.

good luck with the sale mate!

A friend has a road registered car with full weld in cage. Aslong as the intrustion bars are not higher than the bottom of he seat, i believe it can be registered.. His is and its engineered :)

scotts cage is fia spec so it has the high intrusion bars accross the doors.

you would be doing very well to get full reg on this car.

it should be bought for what it is...a good rally car,not a road car.

If the side intrusion bars are higher than the seat then you cannot get road registration in Vic. I looked into this in great detail when I was getting my rollcage designed and welded in.

Looks like a nice evo.. shame to see you have to sell it!

Few quick questions...

Who built it? & who did the cage? and has it been seam welded etc?

Its the proflex MCA stuff or the real deal from europe and any good diffs etc?

Is it at an M2 tarmac car? or not built to any specfic regs?

cheers
Lewis

lewis

bond built cromo cage.
mca proflex all round

scott would have to confirm on the current rules to see if it still conforms
to m2( i think it would still though )

being an oz spec rs2 it still has an ayc rear diff.

not sure if it has been seem welded sorry.

I should leave this thread to scott or charge him for my time!

a mate of mine who builds evos built this car with peter muir in sydney.

it is/was very well maintained and scott has poured alot into it since he bought it too.

Car still conforms to m2 regs.

John- yes will be there as my ferry tickets are non refundable and no doubt it will be a great event:)

I really do not want to part with this car but if a buyer comes along it will go.
The path I would rather take is to get rid of my GSR but due to the engine still not quite being finished it is an unsaleable car atm.
If the Gsr is completed in the next few weeks I will put it up for sale and keep the 6.5 as I don't really have any need for the road car anymore.
