That's pretty dam neat for its age.
That's the best way to buy a car off an old bloke that's looked after it.

I think the EF XR6's were quicker still... I used to have a manual EF, was so much bloody fun!

You could pretty much buy any new car, lock it up in the garage for approx 20 years and it would be an immaculate example in the future [even if it were a POS lol] :w00t:
One of those links had a 33,000kms Falcon that still looked new. Thats fuk all km in approx 20 years so the owner didnt enjoy it much. If it had 250,000kms+ and looked that good the guy would deserve a medal :)
These early Falcons were riddled with faults. maybe that's why? lol

That was the EA mate....same as the VN commodore...they were both rushed to beat each other out with the new model...they were crap....The series 2 were not bad but EB/ED were good. I just like the simple shape of the ED with twin headlights is all....

wernt the eb/ed the first ones with the pos electronic auto that disengaged under braking giving you no engine asist

there is a member on here witha XR6 ED also that just hit 100,000kms in the purple color, but has a couple of dings , easy fix though

I am glad there are a few blue oval boys on here! I reckon that a EB/ED XR6 manual would still go pretty well.

My first car was a mint 79 Escort, it was my baby!
All my mates were commodore bogans but i had a soft spot for my esky!

Id love to get another one down the track and make it look granny spec, and cream like mine was, but put something stupid under the bonnet.

Eskys are awsome, I had one after the XD also , a 1980 2door 2ltr 4speed, cool old car to drive, there getting harder to find these days, but if you found a granny spec minter , it would be worth keeping these days
