a piller gauges

im looking for an A piller pod that replaces the existing piller cover,

Or one that fits it properly. (like vsthis has)

i want to mount 2 gauges, and i dont want to have a universal one in there..

Damo... do you know what branch, type... any details of the one in your car?

Dont think theres much out there Nick.
I remember looking for one a few months ago and it seems no one makes them for the CC anymore, so i ust went a universal one.
If you do find one let us know.

I'll take it off over the next couple of days and have a look at the back of it to see if there is any markings or brand on the back of it.

If there is enough interest, we might be able to convince evopwr or someone else to use mine as a mould and get a few made with fibreglass.

Nice i just cut up a ignition surround and fits nicely and doesnt look that bad at all, best of all its cheap as chips

just grab one you'll need both halves, turn it upside down and you'll see it makes a nice cheap but factory looking pillar gauge holder as it has same pattern in the plastic as the rest of the dash and garnishes

Sorry mate. Been a bit crook the last few days. I've just taken it off but there's no markings or stickers on the back.

It doesn't match up all that well at the bottom though so it might be to suit something different. Maybe check out the a piller of a skyline, silvia, rx7 etc.

Still happy for someone to use it as a mould though.

i'm thinking that i may grab a universal...

then cut out some holes in the a piller where the gauges would come through, and mount the universal behind.. then get it trimmed to suit

may be very easy

That might be better. I'm not really happy with the tiny screws holding mine to the a piller plastic. Seems a bit flimsy for my likings. It's been fine and doesn't shake around or anything but in a crash it might be a different story. (not that i'm planning on crashing my car. just don't want things flying around head height if it does happen.)

Here's a pic of mine made from the steering column/ignition plastic garnish

for my application My guage was smaller than the ignition barrel hole hence the alloy plate around the gauge

i like what you have made there terbulent looks great...i dunno how they are exactly as far a height as i've had my monster tacho in the same spot and its abit hard seeing the kerb of the round about sometimes..hence why i moved mine to behind the steering wheel trying to keep view over the dash clear..

yeah the existing pillar is still there, its just a piece of pvc pipe, and some stretchy material and a bunch of fibreglass

So the CN/CP9A A-piller mould will deffinetely fit the Evo1-3's? or is it just this one by Greddy? There are a few cheapy ones that popup on ebay every now and then (for RHD cars too :thumbsup: )

stock trim with PVC pipe used as gauge holders hot glued into position (while inside the car with gauges inplace to aling correctly). Then a million holes drilled into trim and fibreglass applied. A bit of filler, some sanding and a lick of paint and your done :thumbsup:
