hey all,

I need some help, last night driving around, my a/t temp and battery warning light came on, it only comes on at low revs and goes away at higher revs?

firstly, what is the a/t temp light referring to, as my manual is in jap writing. What could be causing this, ive checked the battery, oil, power steering, all seem to be fine. I did have to replace the alternator a couple of weeks ago. could i have put it back in wrong?? :? , i cant see how as its only two bolts, the pivot bolt and the adjusting, all belts are tight.

This is stressing me out   , as the car is my daily, and if it breaks down, im fucked if i know how im going to get around, its a long ass ride to work in the morning!

Is it the right alternator? Sounds like its not charging steadily at low RPM. At idle, check the out put of the alternator. if it isn't over 14V you got dramas.

Is it a second hand item? Voltage regulator could be cooked.

the alternator im assuming is the right one, it just got rebuilt, with all new bushes and whatnot as it burnt out helping a mate jump start his car.

Where is the voltage regulator located??
