Hmmmm...Checked your fluid level yet?;)

I know sometimes when the parkbrake light comes on the fluid level is low. May be similar....

C'mon Dane!! fluid is fine. in what car does the park brake light indicate low fluid?? :-S

i'm gunna have a look at the sensors, i have heard dirt can screw them up. front brakes are brand new though and not warped or anything. is there a known issue with the ABS unit screwing up?? capacitors or such??

Lots do.

My 2001 Lancer Gli did it for one! My Wife complained about the light coming on during a corner AND a bump in the road to a workmate who was a mechanic, and he asked her about the fluid level.

Was almost empty!

There is a sensor inside some master cylinders that trip the parkbrake light when the fluid is low, hence the light coming on around a corner.

i havent heard of a common abs unit fault on a lancer but on falcons and commodore and a couple of other pourly built cars they do

as for the park brake light, low brake fluid does it, the sensor is called a fluid level sensor cars with drum brakes do it alot because wen the wheel cylinders leak its losing fluid leaking master cylinders and leaking callipers do it aswell
