Hi i am working on my partners GSR, she got it a few weeks back now and the guy we got it from said that the battery was dropping charge overnight so he removed the ABS fuse and it fixed it, any ideas on what it would be?
The ABS fuse lol
Na seriously, you've got an earth leakage somewhere in the ABS circuit. Good luck finding it. Can be anything from a dodgey sensor wire earthing out or a faulty ABS computer/controller circuitboard etc under the centre console.
download the wiring diagram for the abs and start isolating components and testing if it fixed your current drop problem.
i reckon (8/10) he craping you and the issue is elsewhere.
disco battery and connect in multimeter (10 amp mode) then remove and replace fuses/breakers till you find the leak.
Well i swapped ABS computers to see what happens and so far the cars battery is still ok, one thing though is the ABS light flickers and then goes off instead of a solid light then off, prob a dumb question but could this mean anything? Will prob see if i can get a mate who is a auto electrician to have a look i think.
my abs light flickers then goes out not solid then out, I assumed that's how it was meant to work, or maybe they changed it over the years mine a 95 model
Lol yeah i know Paul but as its Lisas car id rather have it on for her, will have to take you for a drive some time to show you how well it goes for a GSR
