Found this tonight looks to be fairly affordable so thought i might share to gather some opinions before i commit to buying one

You have to pay extra for the rocker cover...

WE ARE ALSO SELLING C.O.P VALVE COVER COMBO'S,YOU WILL RECEIVE POWDER COATED VALVE COVER WITH THE COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE ALL FOR $300 PLUS SHIPPING

yeah i did notice that being its so bold and plain to see but still a good deal in my eyes $350 for cover and plug setup to my door ill be happy with that, considering my mate paid over a grand for C.O.P on his legnum

overall what are the big benefits though? all i hear is that the COD have a really high tendency of failing due to the heat from the cover. Correct?

I haven't played with aftermarket COP, but I know the Ford Duratec engines have big issues with the factory COP units on perfomance setups. As you mention Clone, heat is the main killer for those units.

As far as I am aware, Ford went to COP so it was easier for the robots to put the cars together.

COP are good for a semi stock engine, if you are chasing bigger power then you would accompany it with an ignition box

Heres a cool trick, dunno if it works though lol

im not really semi stock anymore , running built engine 272cams with 9.5:1 compression and wanting to hit 25 psi on pump fuel im thinking i need some serious spark
what other options are out there ? spark amplifiers and such ??

There are plenty of guys running the stock ignition system with much higher power figures than what you are looking at.
I run a pte 6262 turbo at 35psi on a stock set of coils and cheap ngk plugs.
I'd stick with the stock setup until you are making enough power to cause an issue.

seems to be a waste of money then, i might aswell stick with the stock stuff seems to be working fine anyway, always on the look out for improvements though

^^^ As Tim said

I sold my LS1 coils and stuck to my OEM coilpacks

25psi on pump?? c'mon if the engine is built, take it to 30 :D

its built nice and strong acls eagle rods wiseco forgies arp everywhere , just not sure about boosting to high on pump fuel , maybe im being to particular
and should just wind it up , last data log was 7 counts of knock high revs 3rd and shifting to 4th. Plus im leaning out above 6 grand need bigger injectors.
Thats why i thought better spark when i put larger injectors and the tune to suit them.

What inj are you using??

My mates evo2 made 323kw - 28psi on PULP98 safely, GTX3076R .86, ID1000cc inj, oem evo intake, oem evo throttlebody, oem evo fuel rail, oem evo fuel reg, oem evo intercooler with 2.5" end tanks and 2.5" cold/hotside piping

thats good numbers , my setup is engine work as above also gt pumps cast evo 3 exhaust mani, gt pump td05 20g, 2.5 piping all round 055 maf ,eprom ecu with osterich,70mm throttle body and aus spec intake, stock rail 560cc injectors, aeromotive fpr, 450x230x65 apexi deltafin cooler.Im hoping for 300hp at wheels, but ive got some 720cc's and the tune suited to them that ill fit soon but the closest awd dyno is 180kms from me so makes getting power figues hard,we do tunning on the highway at night with data logger and tunning software my mate the builder of the engine has on his lap top. Not exactly sure what is to lean but at 6000 wideband goes from mid to high 10s back up to mid 12s running 1 bar the most its seen is 1.5 bar but i started to develop a miss in the top end but ive put that down to needing new plugs.
