Hey guys, when I bought my GSR, it came with 1 alarm remote only.

The main button for arming/disarming the alarm is broken, but if you stick your finger in the alarm you can still use it.

What I want to know is, can an aftermarket remote be programmed to suit my car, even though its got rolling code??

I'm not sure on what brand the alarm is

thanks

should be able to, there will be a code or something in the system, just take it to a reputable carsound place (not autobarn) and ask them, they will know for sure

Is it a 2-button remote? If so, can you take the button off the other less used position and put it in the main position? Also, look for the main alarm black box inside the cabin under the dash (I presume thats where it will live), and you should be able to find some markings or brand name and model number of the alarm if you're lucky to order another remote

Whats the matter with Autobarn, we have some of the best technitions and access to most brands.
Supercheap dont even do installs.
I take offence

i'm not saying that autobarn doesn't have the technicians, but the problem with autobarn is the staff think they know everything when really they have no idea, super cheap don't even sell alarms so get over it, all i was saying was take it to a REPUTABLE CAR SOUND place, which doesn't include autobarn,

They're both crap if you ask me.

My local Supercheap didnt even have 10A blade fuses??

And Autobarn, too busy staring at my friend's tits to serve me!

Gonna have to stick up for nick (mottafied) here guys! Most people who work at joints like autobarn and supercheap aren't into cars, but he is and he does know his stuff!

i'm not having a personal attack on him, believe me, and i am not saying that supercheap is anybetter than autobarn, and i agree most people that work there no SFA about cars, but the guys at my store are heaps into cars.
