maybe this bit mate? The rectifier. Some have heaps of fins on them. The stator solders onto it in 3 spots and the battery lead fixes to it?
Other than that there is only the stator and the armature (and brushes)

Na...more like the first one...but different!
Either way..I got it from the wholesaler trade price which was $270.

Well... ended up putting a Sonata alternator on, till I can get a new OEM (thinking about the 90A one from meek)
Are there any other options (that might be cheaper than $400?)
