Hey guys,

Im looking into getting one of these, im just not sure which one to get.

Ive found ones by ASI, KOYO, PWR, ARC, Greddy and ARE (so many acronyms!!)

ASI are the cheapest, ARC the most expensive.

Obviously I know you get what you pay for, but honestly, how much difference can there be?

What are people using/have used - and are there people who have had bad experiences with any particular ones?

any info appreciated.

I bough that ASI one off ebay for something like $160+ shipping, which I felt was a great deal. It's fairly good build quality, and was much lighter then stock. There is a bit of a clearance issue with hoses around the fan & took me a bit of jamming to get it in, but it did fit. Not all the fan screw holes lined up properly (the bottom 2 holes weren't a direct fit, but because of how tight it was in there, I just zip tied the bottom. The top 2 fan holes fit up fine. My opinion = Worthy investment.

Ive got an ASI alloy rad fitted to my Evo3 as my 2nd standard rad decided to split.

Value for money, quality alloy welding and very quick delivery to the UK.

Didn't have any problems with the fan mounting, but like deviantek said there is an issue with clearance for the turbo pipe. But I will be changing the standard fan for a slimline one soon.

I also have the ASI, and I have no fit issues anywhere.

I have heard of one person having an ASI rad start leaking, but that's it.

I used the ASI radiator Dan. It is about 50mm thick. I had to ditch it because when I went to an external wastegate it fouled on it :(
Other than that it worked fine.

I've got the ASI one aswell. I just had to upgrade my fan to make room. You can come around and check it out when i'm home in a week or so if you want.

i ran a just jap dual core alloy radiator in my skyline
very happy with results
build quality was excelent and the results were perfect

A lot of the guys on EvolutionOz have fitted Ebay specials to their cars and the general concencus was that most people are more than satisfied. Despite the good reports, I decided upon a custom alloy unit which I was fortunate enough to grab for the right price...

I don't really want one thats heaps thicker than the stock one, as i may have clearance issues with the new turbo ...

I think Koyo might be the way to go

I bought one of those ASI radiators for my car but it didnt clear my steampipe manifold  so I sold the radiator to my brother  They are very good quality, the welds are nice, and to date he hasnt had any issues with it... which pisses me off of course because I would have liked it instead. If it were 5mm thinner it would have been great.

i'll check mine again tonight dan i was pretty sure it was 50mm and
standard was 28mm

i have both there so ill check
