Am I pushing it?

Just looking at buying some second hand rims + tyres for my vr4 but wondering if I will have clearance issues. The rims are 18x7's and they have 225x40's on them. Too big? I also have lowered springs

Offset is +40 I think? They are actually 18x7.5's

I'd like to know if 18x8 inch would fit and with which offset?

I just fit a new set to mine, 18x8 with a 32mm offset because i wanted a little poke, the front pokes the smallest bit and the rear tucks because of the camber i have. clears everyhing from what ive seen and heard, bounced on the car and taken it for a drive, never scrubbed or hit anything.

there was a fitment guide on galantvr4.org.au

it had a huge list of wheel and tire combos that would fit a vr4

I'm putting 17x7.5 +32 on currently, rears fit perfect fronts have a bit of poke.

Maybe a silly question but just playing round with the wheel calculator and was wondering what offset is standard on an e39a vr4.
found some wheels that are 17x8.5 offset is 34
