I did an Amber Corners install on the EVO today.

Here is my story

What is needed...

* Wax & Grease Remover

* Amber Lens Dye

* Masking Tape

It's a really simple process

1/ Remove the corner indicators from both sides
2/ I masked off the black rubber seal
3/ Clean the lenses with the wax and grease remover
4/ Let them dry
5/ Apply first light coat to both lenses and leave for 20 mins
6/ Apply second coat to both lenses and leave to dry
7/ I cleaned both of the bulbs up before reinstall
8/ Reinstall both lenses

Simple

It cost me a total of $16.00 for the lens tint

I also did the guard indicators with one coat but that's personal choice.

I love it, I reckon it looks awesome

I really don't know what some of you guys see in them, I reckon it looked 10 times better before you did anything!

Personal choice

I love them to be honest

Everyone is welcome to their opinion :)

the jdm evo lights look tough.

nice write-up.. but to spend 20 odd bucks and a bit of messing around to imitate the genuine ones that you can pick up for around $100 isn't really worth the effort unless you're on a very tight budget.

the greater bulk of modders are unfortunately on a budget otherwise we all would be riding around in screamers with bling coming out our ears.I'm undecided on what he has done but he has taken the time to share his effort which is a big thumbs to me. :thumbsup:

it doesn't take that much time to get off the indicators and spray them. i wouldn't fork out the 100+ on genuine indicators when i already have clear ones on the car which i can spray.

As I stated earlier it's personal preference.

I wanted the look and in due course I will get some original lights for it but as the budget is tight atm I went this option.

I just thought I'd post it up to help. There was some talk about this in the WTB section and so I thought I'd just post it up while I did it :D

hey !! i been looking for this, but i was thinking more along the lines of heating the seals and spraying the insides amber. But these look just as good!.. One question.. What if you put a clear coat over the first coat ?.. to get more coverage ??.. :D
