That said those turbos look to be selected for quick spoolup and minimal lag.

this is true, the bottom ends are very strong. there is a company that does a turbo setup for the E34 M30 which is what i'll be getting soon (hopefully), and from memory theyre around $1200 imported to your door from the yanky doodles

one of the guys at my old place of work had a e30 with an RB20DET- with an haltech and some other fruit... 273kw ATW....

all i can say is you cant beat the AWD traction....

that i do funbags! theyre great engines and parts are easy to come by 8)

yeah the RB20 engines are a pretty common mod for the E30's for an obvious reason, great engines and can make sum serious power. apparently they dont last the longest
