as many of you guys know, i just got my car back from getting the head cleaned and new valve stem seals put in. car blows no more blue smoke, so big thanks to chasers. i thought the dilemma was over, but i was wrong..
When chasers took the head off and looked at my pistons, they noticed piston 2 and 3 looked like they were different heights. They measured it and found out they actually were at different heights. I told them the last time my car spun a big end bearing, AFAS told me it damaged my rod, and that they were going to see if they could 'save' it before replacing it. They never told me if they replaced it or 'saved' it.
To me it sounds like one of my rods (#3), I presume is still bent which is what Chasers told me.
So what do I do? Get someone else to independently measure my rods and then shove it in AFAS's face or take it back to AFAS and let them deal with it. Mind you I don't want my car off the roads for god knows how long. Who would of thought 10 days would change to 4 months.
This shit is getting out of hand now, I just want a car that runs properly for at least a month.
