Another Misfiring question!

Ever since my car was finished.. 6 months ago i suppose now its had a mis on idle & a mis if I free rev to any rpm point while stationary.

I just replaced the coil pack because it was stalling & misfiring under load etc etc but the idle mis & free rev mis is still there.


i should point out that the car makes pleanty of power all the way to redline so its doubtful that the problem is electrical.

anyone else experianced a similar problem?

Mine misses once in third gear under load (WOT) at approx 4800 rpm. It doesn't do it any other time or in any other gear and it's always about 4800 rpm.

I suppose some cars have gremlins?

thats true,

it is weird tho.. im thinking maybe a vaccume leak, cos the revs hunt a little on idle but its not noticable & iv pulled various vaccume lines off & it doesnt make the car idle any different

Are you running a stock ECU or aftermarket?
