Arp head studs

Hey guys i just brought some headstuds for my evo 1, they say they are to suit vr4-evo 3. i tried dummy fitting them to the block but the studs appear to thick. Has anyone got some advice??

maybe you've been supplied with the wrong parts,as far as i'm aware the evo arp 4g63 headstuds fit all gen evo's

VR4 uses a 12mm stud, EVO uses a 11mm.
youve been supplied the wrong ones for your motor.

EVO 11mm

both should be completely different codes...

That is correct.
VR4 are thicker (they have the better motors and are better cars LOL)

you have 2 options.
Drill and tap your block to suit the 12mm studs and drill your head to suit or go get some 11mm studs

MAGNA ones are thicker (they have the bigger heavier motors and are fatter cars LOL) so they need bigger studs.
