I recently purchased some ARP main studs from Ebay in the states. I had one set all ready which i am using on one of two motors I am building. the set on ebay was quite cheap....about 70.00 with postage. the seller doesnt have a store or anything and seems a private seller
when they arrived they are different to the set I have purchased locally. they havent got the socket for an allen key to go into and they dont have arp written on them. everything else in the box is the same as the other set...even the box that they came in has the same part number and stickers etc

has anyone had this before beause he swears black and blue these are ARP studs. arp dont return emails when you ask about this type of thing it seems

Interesting, they're supposed to have the allen key head on them with the letters ARP stamped on the face of the allen key head end. Are those like normal stock mains bolts or something with a socket head? Whats the part number?

You can call ARP, they do phonecalls (I had to enquire about some torque specs).

Sounds iffy to me.
All the ARP's I've used have always had ARP and an allenkey head (4g63 ones anyway)

The older ones didnt have the allen key slot, but I havent seen them for a very very long time.

Just call ARP, their customer service is great. They even like talking about cutting down their flywheel bolts lol
