Autometer boost guage owners...

Hey guys,

For the J-Spec Cylone VR4 4G63T owners, if you have an autometer boost guage, what vacc pressure does the guage show at resting idle in neutral?

10? 15? 20? 25?

resting idle in neutral is 18 on mine. 19 on axel's starion which runs a vr4 motor.

I've been through 3 boost gauges, an autogauge, an autometer and a speco (which I liked the best and was coincidently cheapest)... they all read 18, except hte autogauge which liked to round things off... ie: it was at 20.

If you're coasting (ie: driving) it'll be around 22 in 5th or so.

Hmm.. so if mine is sitting on around 12-13ish it would indicate that I have a vaccuum leak somewhere in the system?

either the gauge is inaccurate or your car is trying to accelerate yes.

so around 20 is about normal then? mine varies...... but always around 20. i have a 4g93 though, may be a little different.
