Hi all,

As the heading suggests im curious if a cc gsr/evo3 cross member will bolt upto a fwd cc glxi/m21 proton k-frame?
I'm having clearance issues with a gearbox.

Nope. You need AWD K-frame and AWD crossmember. Then you can fit FWD or AWD box.
If you only have FWD Kframe and crossmember then you cant mount the AWD box.

I have a 2 frames. One is slightly bent so needs to be cracked back into shape. The other kframe has a broken captive nut. I also have the xmember :)

throw the bent frame away, once its bent you have no chance to get it right

The captive nut is a common thing, always the 1 at the back under the power steering rack

You can do it - I was running a GSR north/south crossmember on my FWD K-frame when I put the EVO2 gearbox on in my FWD days.

You need to drill a hole through the rear of the K-frame and put a big nut/washer on the otherside for the bolt to secure into. Spend a bit of time under the car having a head-scratch and you'll see that it's possible with a little bit of work.

So one of the rear awd x-member holes actually bolts up to the fwd k-frame? Just got to drill the secondry hole?
