Out of interest, how did everyone who was interested go with their order?
I put in an order with speedclinic and was told the cams were in stock, 2 weeks after I ordered and paid recieved an email telling me they were out of stock and no time frame was known for when they would be available again.

I am still waiting, and can't find any in stock anywhere they are offering me a set of 280's or a refund..or wait until they have stock again. I am running out of time as I need them in the next week or 2 and did not want to pay over $1000 for a set of hks cams

I got mine from Import evolution. Had them within a week or so from order date but I confirmed 100% that he had the stock ready and asked for them to be set aside. From what I have heard, there is a backlog on these as they are very popular and well priced so you can expect to wait a while either way.

IMO, 280's are too agressive for daily use, I'm having a tough time getting the car off the line with the 272's (A-Spec VR4 ), I can only imagine what it would be like with 280's.

if any one is interested, BC have had some packaging issues from what i have been told. I know of one set of 264/272 being received, excitement by all, to find that they were 248/256 or something to that effect.

I also heard that the 280 cams have been mis packaged, the package says they are XXX cam but the cams are incorrect.

So the issue with shortages may lie with the fact that they have had cams incorrectly packed so they dont know where the stock is going, where it is and cant make the sales till it is all fixed up.

This is just what i heard.

I went through speed clinic for my 280/280s as well, same thing, chased them up and they said out of stock even though they first said it was in stock. waited couple of weeks and they arrived.

They just became available again and we purchased a bunch on friday, they will be here tuesday or wednesday and we will be shipping them out.

Just to let you know, you got lucky, while they were down, brian crower raised everyones pricing a lot, so everyone has to raise pricing, but you got in at the old pricing which was like 70 bucks cheaper.

Do you want to see if they can combine our orders and do a discounted shipping rate?
Surely they can do a better deal than that?
If they would come at it and you recieved the 3 sets, postage to Tassie from perth for 1set would not be to expensive you would think?

I should clarify .........that quote is not from speedclinic, I am still waiting for their quote.

888 is from import blowouts. I will see what speed clinic come back with and probably get them there any way.
