Where have you boys mounted the control box or whatever for the alarm, the impact sensor, bonnet switch, and the siren?

Cheers
Cade

siren is against the firewall on the passenger side, shock sensor is on the kickpanel on the drivers side. the bonnet switch is somewhere down near the bonnet latch.

I wouldnt put the siren on the firewall, as if it gets wet (broken bonnet seal), its rooted. Mine is on the passenger side strut tower, although I would have liked to have had it somewhere out of the engine bay.

The main problem is that it has be somewhere where it cant get wet, AND somewhere where an intruder cannot easily disconnect it.

i know wrx's have the internal siren (in cabin) farking loud!!
as for alarm, mount it anywhere u think is good

dont go telling ppl where it is... easier for us to find =)

alarm, place it somehwere hard to access..
siren same as above, hidden is best...

In the cabin is the best place, lets see them drive off with that thing going off in there ears

A friend of mine wired his alarm while he was rebuilding his car. The entire system is mounted physically BEHIND the dashboard. You can't tamper with it because you can't get to it.

The external siren is mounted between the right front inner guard liner and the acutal guard itself (in space inbetween). Hard to get in there but it's dry, and doesn't mufle hte noise.

Only problem with hiding the siren too well is that there is a key that fits in the back.

I'm guessing thats for when the siren goes off for no apparent reason. I don't want ot have to dismantle half the car to turn the siren off, will get bloody annoying.

I like to put the alarmbox driverside under the dash with a door button behind it so if someone trys to pull it out the alarm will go off again

plus I fit a microwave sensor so if someone looks in the car it warning beeps them

and I put the shock sensor on the steering colum so if someone even kicks the tyre it will set the alarm off

its a bit much but my last car had TV,DVD, PS2,Dreamcast, 2 tv screens, custom interior,18x7inch rims, and every time I came back to the car there where finger prints on the windows of people looking in
