Best size intercooler

Hi Guys I have read a heap of old posts about why sized fmic everyone is using and I wanted I te some feedback on firstly what sized ic to go with and then what route to take the piping . I have a new motor with evo 3 turbo currently but want to eventually bolt on my gt28 turbo . Trying to keep the old girl fairly standard also not to moded.

Can anyone recommend a cooler ?

I use an evo 9 cooler with standard piping route and I got 230kwatw on a TDO5 20g

300X600 is way to big on the front end of the Galant, hangs too low for most but its been done many times
250X600 seems to fit fine but might foul on the fog lights with the piping
evo4-9 coolers fit fine, just the angles of the outlets are different from evo4-6 then 7-9.
JASMA Make a straight bolt on cooler same size as stock unit but flows more 2.5" in/out (ebay chinese copy)
PWR used to make a cooler that fitted on VR4's not sure about now..
AVO made coolers for VR4 that took the stock route of piping but no more new ones... 2nd hand ones floating around


if you plan on keeping the car looking stock, take the stock route for piping. other wise there are heaps of ways you could possibly do your piping, just depends how much time and money you feel like throwing at the car....
