Best Turbo for a 4g93

I dont mind a bit lof lag- makes it easier to drive off boost.

You get used to it- and with 4WD's, who cares- just dump the sucker!
 
can someone please tell me whats the difference between a small 16g and a big16g. Ive tried searching the net and i cant find anything if someone knows a site please let me know

The small 16G has a slighty smaller compressor wheel than the big 16G. Myth has it that Evo Is and IIs had them, but I've pulled apart several Evo I-III turbos now and have never seen a small 16G. All had big 16G wheels standard.

Big 16G Measures 48mm on the inducer and 68mm on the exducer. Small 16G Measurements are 46mm inducer and an exducer of 60mm.

yes it is from the VR4's.
As far as being the "right one" it is a great turbo,
but i guess its what you want at the end of the day. You will get a little bit more lag with a 14b, but the 16g will pull much harder.
If just got rid of my 14b, bolting a 16g on shortly.
Ill let you know how it goes.
 
i have installed the evo 2 turbo as i blew the big 16g up, i must say its goes very well. anyone who has changed to this turbo will say the same thing
 
nopes, i had a large evo 3 on there, but it suked the plastic off the intake pipe through the compressor wheel, now i have the evo2 turbo
 
im sure others who have maybe got the car to the freeway ( cheap fig at myself there lol ) would be able to tell are a little more, might flow better mid to top range, but id say for a street car its awsome
 
EVO 2 and 3's have the same turbo.

What plastic did it suck in? Did you take your intercooler pipes off to see if there's any plastic in your cooler?
 
i am assuming it sucked in the rubber ring that goes over the end of the turbo that the intake hose slips over?

Didnt 2's have a small 16g..im sure they did, then the e3 got the Big 16G

Huh, whered you hear that? small 16g's exist, theres apart number for them...I ran one on my VR4, and side by side to an E3 16G, it was different.

Edit-Isnt one xxxx1420, the other xxxx1470

yeh yeh i know that,
i didnt say there was none, I said there isnt many :)
