Blacked Out Headlights

Has anyone tried blacking out their headlights on the their VR4's similar to what the guys are doing with their EVOVII, as per this link

I am not sure if it will work for removing the glass lens from the housing.

just around the outside?

They look good thanks for the pictures, did they effect how bright the headlight was once done? Any pics of them once installed on the car?

They shouldn't affect anything. It's the cone thats the reflective part. That looks heaps good! did you bother using high temp paint? Just a matt black?
I'm gonna do this while my front end is apart. Should suit the my Black paint very nicely.

i also did this only i didnt paint any of the lense, didnt see a need to, but im IMO its a subtle touch.
I had them done on the last cruise but no one noticed, so its one of this things that u only noticed if told its there
