Blown fuse or worse?

I did a silly thing whilst taking my RVR apart to change out the old mini disc player and headunit for a new one after buying an iso adapter thing from Amazon.

Anyway I left it apart and on the way to work a live wire touched metal... few sparks and the computer screen and headunit stopped working. I found a popped red fuse in the fuse box and replaced (haven't check any other fuses by the way). The old headunit and computer screen still don't work so I thought I'd buy a new headunit. Wired that up with the hardness but no luck.

Anything else I should check?

It's a 98 Sports Gear x2 2.4 GDI

↑↑ That. There will be fuses under the bonnet too so check them too.

Dude, you should really disconnect the battery when doing that kind of stuff, saves headaches.

Grab yourself a multimeter, best investment you can make if you're considering any further electrical work.

Some headunits have fuses on the back of them, otherwise it should be the fuse for the 12V/cig lighter (so check if that works).

So tracked down a blown fuse under the bonnet it's all kind of working now.

However the jap screen/jap computer is stuck and keeps saying 2 Wheel Drive/4 Wheel Drive and I cannot change anything. I've tried unplugging the ISO harness and the new headunit and using just the default on its own but no difference. I'll grab a picture in a bit!

I would try the age old solution of disconnect battery for a while and hook it back up. See if that sorts itself out.
Sounds too simple I know, it it's amazing how many problems like this can be fixed by doing it.
Unless someone else has a better, or more informed, idea of course.
Best of luck mate.
