so as the topic description says Electronic vs Manual boost controllers, i want to kow everyones opinion on them and what they prefer. From the research i've done it would seem manual are alot more acurate and give better response and hold better here is a link to a youtube video that i found if you want to scope it out. i'm looking at getting the apexi AVC-R btw

cheers

EBC is where its at

Being able to "hold" the wastage shut then control the gain top end is a life saver. My eboost2 was extremely good Boost controller.
also The boost alarm was good for those times where it run up fro some reason @ the drags

Looks like an ad for MBC or someone doesn't know how to adjust the EBC.

i've only had EBoost Street and Eboost 2 and would be the only ones i'd go with..never had a problem..
Eboost street only has 2 settings and Eboost 2 has 4...i think the 4 levels is over the top as i only use 1 or 4

I read the first post. You mean "Electronic" ebc's gives better response and hold better.... not 'manual' ;)

Its about 4 year old, its a silver 1 but has been painted black :p

There's no doubt that Hallman MBC is good, but the AVC-R hasn't been set properly. Most people now by them second hand and the solenoids can be sticky. I personally prefer EBC's due to the extra useable features like gear sensitive boost, warning functions, gain, precision adjustment between high and low (not just a bloody turn nob.....oh yeah 18psi is around there, oops too much, back it off, opps too much, a lil more) and then obviously the peak boost/recall/graphing features.

On a side note I have a genuine black AVC-R with loom and solenoid doing nothing in the shed. What's a good price for it?
