guys, dose anyone make off the shelf braided hose for gsr front brakes
or do i need to get them made up?
and any sugestion on best place to get them.

Thanks Grant

IMO dont fark around with brake lines period!! Especially going the cheap import route that cost $130AU odd. I cant justify people buying them over the REAL DEAL "Goodridge" brand which is the worlds best and only Australian legal braided brake line which doesnt cost much more delivered to your door.

At only 44 pounds ($100AU) + postage from the UK its a bargain!!! Myself and GSRSOL above ^^^^^ on here bought 2 sets and we went in halves for the postage and got our sets for around $120 each delivered 8)

Here's a link for example: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mitsubishi-La...eZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

Oh Grant, if you're serious about braking in a GSR then you should also contemplate upgrading the front rotors and calipers to EVO I-III twin pot units at the same time. You can pick them up for around $200-$300 these days around the forums. Then do the braided brake lines

Hey Dan... wanna go in halvies for the Goodridge braided clutch line as well?

Well I bought my braided lines from and nsw supplier and they have the adr approval rating and were 85au for the front pair .... pays to shop around I suppose. Basically any place that makes braided lines for the motoring industry in Australia can/will make them up if they dont all ready have a suitable length and fittings to suit the mitsu calipers that's how i found mine.

Thanks guys i've got some evo ones on there way to me even as we
speak,
hey wicky where did you get your lines from?
and do you still live over near the airport?

Thanks Grant

Without the ADR tag, those goodridge ones are a defect over here aren't they (not that it really worries me - there's much easier things to defect on the car then brake lines)?

If you're buying lines from overseas, let me know, I'll chuck in.

Steve, Goodgridge are the leaders in braided brake lines and are what Standards are based on worldwide. As long as there is proof that you are using genuine Goodgridge hoses (they are covered in a clear tubing with the brand printed on them, and they have a bright yellow tag), they are deemed ADR compliant on vehicles and motorbikes etc. Anyone who is in a position to make judgement on the lines . i.e. an engineer or brake shop should know this.
