is there a big difference between rda and dba rotors????

since i need a set i would like to go for sloted brakes so what would be the best go???

Not if you are just using them for street use. I believe the DBA ones are zinc plated so that they won't rust up like the RDA ones do, but you generally pay more for them.

hey mate, sorry i haven't gotten to you with a price, i didn't get time to scracth myself today literally, from memory tho dba slotted rotors are $169.99 each +5.95freight, i can do the front rotors for about $270 for the pair. but those prices are from top of my head, will double check tomorrow and check into RDA/cheaper brand tomorrow and pm you

thank you vry much for the help gvr40 and please let me know once u find out the prices for sure.

what store u work at?????

i work at the cleveland store, but if you need anything just shoot me a pm on here, please don't call the store, if you want to speak to me in person my mobile is 0401366709 if i don't answer then i will return the call just sms me a number to call back on if i dont answer.

Cheers

lol no worries. i'm going to stalk you at work lol, only joking.
but thanks for all the help you offer really appreciate it:)

i have a quick question, i'm selling my old brake caliper and some guy asked me if they would fit onto his cc coupe lancer with gsr brakes????

would any one know????

thanks

They might but I don't know why he would bother as its not exactly an upgrade. They are a shit caliper (design wise) and you can't get any decent pads for them. Sorry, that doesn't really help you sell them does it.

its a good job i checked the prices.

dba slotted rotors
rrp. - $485.93 pair
to you - $355 a pair

dba standard rotors
rrp - $325.93 pair
to you $240.00 pair

protex brand standard rotors
rrp $242.31 a pair
to you -$200.00 a pair

the difference between rda and dba rotors is in the design of them. dba has a kangaroo paw cooling system which helps to keep the rotors cool (less chance of warping), where as the rda has a traitional vent style.

If its only a street car and never or rarely going to see any form of competition, I wouldn't go for slotted rotors and wouldn't care about any kangaroo paws used in the casting process. For competition, with race pads, different story though, and I wouldn't go for either of them on a vr4.

if you get DBA 425's, in slotted, they're $110 each retail, they are for a magna but you only need to drill one hole and they fit perfect, they're already 3/4 drilled for 4stud along with being drilled for 5 studs. saves you over $200 in rotors.

yeah, but the you have a rotor with about 12 holes,

but that would be fine for street i guess
