I'm after new seal kits for my EVO 3 calipers, I assume these are EVO 3 not sure if there is a difference between EVO 1,2,3 calipers.
So would appreciate clarity on that and some part numbers.

Lastly, are CC GSR rear brakes the exact same as EVO 1,2,3?
If they are that would mean they use the same parts numbers for discs, pads and seals!

Will post up pics of the calipers later to help along identifying them.

rear is the same,

the fronts on evos have a slightly larger piston i believe' your best bet would be too take it to a brake place to match so you dont get caught

Ditto, I had to take my pistons and callipers to a Brake place so we could measure them and make sure we got the right ones. There were 3 listings from memory, all slightly different sizes.

yes most definetly take the calliper too a brake place because there a multiple different part number because sometimes people fit larger pistons for pultiple different reasons soo i think definetly take calliper too brake specialist

I found when I was going to rebuild mine (VR4 twin piston) that it was going to be well over $100 each per side I think, they are alright I was just going to rebuild them as you probably are for peice of mind that it is all new but the difficulty level of sourcing the seals was way to hard so I just left them how they are, they havent leaked yet, Mitsubishi was unabe to get them any more. What ever you are able to find out post up part numbers, (brands) prices and where you were able to get them in the parts data base.

So far I have been to Mitsubishi, and they refused to sell me some for one simple reason. I don't have an EVO 3 VIN to give them so they can find the part numbers.
So it looks like I might have to go to someone who knows what they are looking at!

haha thats garbage about vin numbers it just means they are too lazy too look for it

my c63a cb lancer gsr the vin didnt match up too anything in mitsubishi system soo i made them look it the hard way haha

do you have any specialist brake shops near you

oh ok nah there usually speicalised brake shops that can get parts cheaper then mitsubishi

but at the same some callipers need too be rebored or honed because of multiple reasons soo saying that theres a need for differnet sized seals and pistons and so on

If you get second hand callipers from a wreckers (or anywhere for that matter), I would definately disassemble them and check to make sure there is no rust in the bore or on the pistons. Rust in the bore is not really a problem unless it is around the area where the rubber seal goes into it. Rust on the pistons can be a problem if it is in the area which slides past the seal as it will damage the seal and cause the calliper to leak.

Take a disassembled calliper and piston into any aftermarket brake place and they will be able to measure them and order in seal kits for you. I paid $24 per side from ABS for a complete seal kit for my Verada twin spots a couple of years ago. Buy a tube or tub of Rubber grease for when you reassemble them.

Normal Mitsu dealerships wont be abole to help you, usually you need to go to a Ralliart dealer for them to be able to look up EVO stuff, here is the Vin from my Evo 3 1/2 cut if you wanna try again:
CE9A - 0109897.

Edit: fixed, I musta mistook the "7" for a ">" symbol at the end...

that is the vin for the evo but its missing one number.

early evos have 11 digits in the vin,its only when they are oz delivered they have 17(or are given a vin with 17 numbers)
