Hey guys.....

VR4 brake rotor size? Aaannnnndd, can i assume that EVO 1,2,3 have the same stud pattern (114.3) as the VR4s? And does anyone know the measurements of the EVO rotors... Im looking at upgrading the Sigmas brakes. I have some kick ass 4 pot calipers and i now need some rotors...

Thanks guys

Chris

yep
vr4/e1/2/3 are all 276mm

bigger rears...

thats odd.... I have some Celica st205 gt4 4 spot calipers...I need some 300-310mm rotors... I reallty wanna stop proper.. LOL.. I reckon ill have more braking power than engine power... However, on that note, priliminary power runs have netted 120kw.... May not sound like much, but remember that Im running a 4G54, naturally aspired.... Its a freshened 23 year old motor.... 76kw to 120... cant wait to get it in the car....

Chris

aahh know I know what brakes are on my Lancer, prefacelift vr4 267mm,

thats why I cant fit 14" rims

thanks anyway

Im going after market, you can buy brembos for about 1100 off and evo but there just the fronts or I found some ones called willwood, which I think, I will get these (4pots) custom sloted rotors and mounting brakes but s#*t it will pull up well

EVO 1 RS rotors

how long can u wait for the rotors, i will upgreading my stoppers in october when i come home for R n R. if u are interested let me know.. they are in pretty good condition fron memory..

if you guys are keen, i will be gettin some 3000gt brackets made up..
the gto brakes themselves are 4pots.. and sell for around $500.00 a pair from various wreckers...

17" wheels minimum...

ill be looking into these soon

sounds good barry
ive had a lot of trouble finding 3000gt calipers though

the brackets though, someone in the US was selling them, so i guess it'd be easier if we could get a cad drawing of their design

use volvo calipers, cheaper, smaller and probably just as effective. 3000gt calipers are huge brutes, wish I'd used something smaller on the cordia.

volvo calipers?
i really doubt they would be made for trackwork
and the range of performance pads for them would be quite limited

but i could be wrong..

Volvo prides itself on being some of the safest cars out there, (and everyone knows they are the heaviest  ) so i would be guessing their brakes are pretty serious

is it hard to retain the abs if you upgrade to a diff rotor / claiper setup ? cos im thinking of just finding some galant gsr calipers (twin spot) & ordering some new 276mm slotted rotors & putting some semi race temp pads onto them. but 'most' gsr galants didnt come with abs as it wasnt stock.

wheres the sensor mounted?

thats right taco, it shouldn't kill the abs..
although vr4 abs do suck

btw taco, how'd u fix your abs problem?

ill see if i can get a few brackets made up..

i just gave the car to "ABS"
they found out the left cable had cracked/broken internally
so they just got an auto-elec to replace the cable

what size rotors will the brackets/calipers be good for?
