Brake rotors......

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Want mine.

my rotors and calipers will be going in Oct if u want them 87Vr4 . ill get a price for anyone that is keen..

Tonight I swapped JDM Cyclone front brakes (267mm big single pot calipers) to EVO 1-3 brakes (276mm twin pot calipers) and yeah, real easy conversion to do as long as you got the brake line with the twin setup because they use a banjo connection where it joins to the caliper. You retain the hub already on your car so the ABS is not effected, and the rotors are the same thickness with same stud pattern - 2 easy :)

the vr4/magna/verada ones have screw in brake lines

the evo ones have banjo bolts

interested!

let me know what kinda money ur looking at 4 em & if u can find out exactly what banjo fitting i need that whould be great (ie what size fitting is required to hook up to break lines)

I am pretty sure there is a difference in ABS and non ABS calipers, something to do with the valving or piston diameter. I was looking into brakes for my GSR a few weeks back and when looking for KR Verada Calipers there was a difference between the ABS ones and non ABS units. What that difference is I am not entirely sure though...

Go the 3000GT brakes!!

How did you get the whole 5 stud thing to work... I assume your running a gsr.... Unless your car has 5 stud to begin with.... I dont know what car you have

use volvo calipers, cheaper, smaller and probably just as effective. 3000gt calipers are huge brutes, wish I'd used something smaller on the cordia.

the volvo calipers (4 pot) are a very good design alot of people use them on older rally cars (escorts, mazdas etc) and ive also seen them on some under 2 litre sport sedans which would require very good braking. just make sure u get the alloy ones not the heavy steel ones, as we dont wont very heavy unsprung weight.
