You want to be running twin pots, if you have single pots get rid of them and go the twin pots, also get much more choice in performance pads.
For the street some good pads, bleeding you lines, and slotted rotors will make a good improvement over shit pads. Slotted dba 4000 series are the way to go, if not get their street slotted. Or RDA slotted.
Im running ferrodo ds2000 pad (not 2500 they are a more race pad) on my vr4 that heavy like an rvr. And they pull the car up real nice. They don't start smelling cooked either after a 'normal' hard drive like EBC reds Ive driven on. Have to really driver hard to make them smell, people always comment on my brakes in the car as i hit them at close to 200. They are fantastic for the street. Repco supply them but charge around 300 a set. They are fine when cold, about the same as a cheap pad and when you get some heat into them you can feel them wake up and they are awesome.
They aren't cheap, so if you worried about cost ebc red's seem popular but i like the ds2000's better and ive driven them back to back. Ebc red get on ebay.
Dont bother with bendix ultimates, too expensive and are more of a towing pad.
