so guys just to confirm a couple of things
I have a pair of vr4 callipers and are going to go on my GSR.
So what I need to do is
1) source 276mm discs, whether they be from a 4x114 mitsubishi OR DBA slotted
Yes.
2) Change the connection on the vr4 oil line to a banjo bolt fitting? Can I take it somewhere to do this because ill be pretty hopeless for this.
No. You can shave / cut 3-4mm off the gsr banjo bolt as the vr4 has a shallower thread (than evo twin spot callipers)
Make sure that the cut or grind is a right angled face add a slight chamfered edge on the banjo bolt To aid banjo starting in thread.
**To find out the length required to remove off the banjo bolt attach the brake line and copper washers as per normal screw down banjo till it bottoms out
PN: do not tighten hard only hand tight till you feel it bottom out, you will then see the amount needed to shorten the banjo bolt.
Make sure you blow out with compressor the hole in banjo bolt after shortening or wash out thoroughly with old brake fluid is ideal just to remove any shavings of metal from the cut down.
There's quite a bit of thread on the VR4/KR Verarda twin spots so you have a little leeway
3) Run a rebuilt kit through the callipers and new set of pads
Allways a good idea rebuild before fitting always pays off in the end
4) Straight bolt up with existing GSR lines (so I dont need to upgrade to bigger brake lines right??)
