I've seen some early evo's 1-3 sporting brembo calipers to which I could only assume have custom hats with different discs or parts from the later evos like the 4,5,6.

does anybody have any idea what is involved to get a bolt on afair brembo setup using parts from the later evos to fit on the E1-3?

From what I recall knuckles were used and perhaps lowering control arms included calipers and new rims of course... just not sure which parts from which Evos are used.

cheers

easiest way for the front is evo 4 front lower control arms and knucles converting to 5 stud.

there is now kits available here in melbourne for the rear brembos incorporating the late evo drum brakes(for the handbrake) and brembo vented rear rotors.

hey mate, do you have there contact details? i am looking at upgrading front and rears and would like the front and rears.

Peanuts can you put your location in your User CP for us please mate?
Do a search cbrkp, been covered various times.
Basically you need to incorporate custom plates, spacers for the wheels, wheel size of 17" minimum, with the right design too.
Front are quite easy, its the rears that are a PITA.
Sounds good George, more info?

techsport had them made up dean

just call them direct, they have fotted them to two cars so far I believe.

I have fitted brembos on my evo 3.. and left the 4 bolt pattern..
Just made 2 custom brackets to hold the brembo calipers and redrilled the brembo disc to 4x114.3

this guy has done one, page 4 & 5

i heard its better to upgrade the brake master aswell..

yes if you do front and rear brembos change to an evo 6 master cylinder. bolts straight onto the stock booster.

that is a bloody crude way to make the bracket. A complete new one is a lot better idea and a lot safer.

7-9 brake master looks the same aswell, the only thing i notice is that the brake master and clutch master share same fluid from the brake master reservoir, it can be block of if u put them into our cars n i wonder if u need the hand brake cable aswell

im thinking getting front and rears brembo, brake master, rear brake drum off an evo 9 as my mate stack it and mayb the hand brake cable if needed

yes you can use the 7-9 master, as you said need to block the tube.
you need the complete rear assemblies off a 5-6 including the cables and backing plates

wow id be curious to know what techsport are charging...although i dont wanna ask coz i cant afford!

to answer your question shaun

$550 just for the rear bracket

guess im gonna bring the angle grinder out and try tkrperformance style  :p

I am not running the rear brembos on mine and I am using the standard EVO II brake master. I did however get my bias valve modified to ensure my pedal is nice and hard.

well as above I believe the racefab ones are around $350nz a set

I paid the $550 for the techsport ones and Im very happy with them, they have been machined from one
bit of material, not welded together etc..
