buying a 7 gta

Hey guys

The misses has conned me into looking at a pink gta on eBay on the weekend.

So is there any common probs or areas I should look at besides the normal import stuff like rust etc etc...

What are the autos like??? She travels a stack of k's each week so it has to be relibale...

Chris Meek showed me a piece of wave spring that he says was in the sump of a GTA box. Suposed to be pretty common for them.
I haven't played with those boxes, but I'd piss off the plate that has the wave spring combined with it & replace it with a solid plate.
Wave springs are only put in autos to help cusion the clutch pack. Other than that, I'd manualiize the auto with external power.
They are detuned compared to the manuals, but that can be sorted out. I haven't heard anything else bad about the GTA.

i wish i had bought an auto for my wife....she hated the twin plate clutch in my evo eight.

Anyone know what they are like on fuel??? 12-15l per 100 ish???

GTA's are doop i want one.
I reckon ud get 10-12l per 100km out of them obviously depending on ur right foot.

The guy that owned it and done it up, done it all for his wife and the got devorced so he sold it... I would imagine that there has been a stack of cash spent on it... Im going to try and get some high res photos soon, maybe when we get back from vic...
