Dre i'm in the same spot as you i need to go out and find

a good set of shockers and springs for my lancer too

the hot bits have a nice coil over ive been looking at for a while now

but i dont know if they make them in our size for the rear

i have also spoken to a guy i know at pedders and he told me to rip

out a front and rear one and give it to him for a while so he can sort

some thing out for me. i just havent got around to it yet

VR4 struts in the front will fit, but the rears dont. You could either get some rear's made up, or just get somethign off the shelf. I contacted george stocks and this is what they quoted for me.......

Hi Andre
No these are not damper adjustable , they are original spec KYB's that are 30% upgraded from standard
334049 X 2 FRONT
341114 X 2 REAR

Kind Regards
Gavin C

I also pulled the part numbers off jamie's damper adj koni's, and emailed koni and this is what they said.........

Hi Andre,

The part number 80-2565 that you quoted is no longer available. I have done some checking and the Nissan Micra rear shock is very similar, part number 80-2526. The spring seat and the bottom eye bush will need to be changed and the all up cost for the dampers including the required changes will be about $400 a pair including tax.

Let me know if this interests you.

Regards,

Marco

hey guys i have got koni adjustables in my car with superlow king springs and its very stiff (you feel the bumps) but it grips like no ones buisness and does not bounce around i also run 18inch wheels with 35profile so if you where to run mor of a profile then it would not be as hard on the bumps

I know Dre a haning to ge mine started

sorting out this starter problem is my biggest thing at the mo

I sent a pm to baz hope he can help sort some thing out

Dre I took the big diameter springs off the kyb dirta I had on the front
of my ggsr & used a set of standard vr4 springs that I had reset 50 lower.
I remember telling you that the dirtras will be way too high because of the
springs. I thought I mentioned I used vr4 ones reset ? I had no hard ride
with 50 or 55 profiles tyres with 38lb. Before you give up on the dirtras,
try vr4 springs reset.

okay guys
here is the run down..

vr4 rears have a different lower bush / hole size..
the vr4 rears have a bigger hole, and the bush is slight bigger
the top stud pattern looks similar though (although not tested)

so a vr4 rear shock can be used on a borg if u press out the lower bush and replace it to suit the borg..

as for the front, the borgs have 2 studs, the vr4's have 3 studs..
the borg can fit onto the vr4 with very little drilling (to open the hole about 3mms).. it then bolts up the the hub fine..

as for the vr4 to cyborg, not tested yet but you'd have to drill the third hole im assuming but other than that it should fit also...

height of shocks look the same

(we compared dre's vr4 and his spare borg shocks today)

not as hard as we thought!

the lower bush hole size is different
the bush outer size i believe is slightly different also

as for the top hats, they look the same.. 2 studs...
legnth seems right also..

fronts, length is right
and bolt pattern to hub is right
just the top hat is different

well guys if you can hang a couple of day i know someone that is in the very close process to getting a set of coil overs sorted for the c73a cyborgs.
we already have a set of of king springs and kyb shocks sorted for the c73a and they are well matched spring wise also. the back sits a little higher than the front but can be sorted by getting super lows in lovells springs.
you can get sets from advanced performance suspension in adelaide.
the kyb and king springs in mine.
