Went along with JSTYLE for my first ever attempt at 1/4 racing,
Was all nerves as I pulled up to the line for the first time ever, I had NO idea what to do. I didn?t even think to ask anyone until it was to late.
I finally lined up in the right spot then the tree went green, I was still just idling! Took off and pulled a 13.209 @ 101.26mph
Got 7 runs in that night, wasted 2 with a missed gear but apart from that I slowly improved up to a best of 12.701 @ 104.84mph with 1.829 60'.
60's were in the 1.8 all night best was a 1.795.

whats the specs on your car?

the motor is stock VR4 but has a t25 or something like that. on a regoli manifold. has chiped impellor. so im not sure how long it will last.
but its front and rear LSD (evo1 RS setup.) with 600hp fuel pump and autronic computer. has 161kw at wheels. so im not sure it can go much faster on that setup. is anoying having to use 5th gear also! im not sure what most VR4 motors are like but I have to gear change around 6k.

im welding up a new manifold and will upgrade the turbo, change the cams and upgrade injectors and fuel line.cant have jstyle kick my arse once he gets some new tyres

you should run with the oz rims jonny didnt you get a 1.7 60ft before with them

mph is good, did u change anything from last time? still running the same time pretty much...

I won the last 3 races i think.. so it was about even.. yer im running rich cos i have 560cc injectors on stock ecu.. so it needs to go in for a tune.. which i will get done hopefully this coming week.

It also needs a new clutch, so im contemplating getting a twin plate OS Giken.

I ran the oz wheels but i had 195's in the rear and 205's in the front.. im gonna get a set of 215/50/15 Azeni's or something... something with abit more grip and i might also put in stock rear struts as my car doesnt seem to squat.. the tiens are VERY stiff.. and i know Kyp had to put stock struts back in his car before he went very fast.

squat is bad in our cars, one it wastes time (fractions of fractions of a second but times time) and it also means less traction to the fronts.

People with no front lsd this is very bad news.

width shouldn't matter, only rolling diameter??? Coz if one is bigger the front and back will roll at different revs, putting a bad load on the central diff :shock: . that is just a guess???

the rolling diameter of 195s and 205s is different, but only a few mm
