no offence but why dont u just buy a GSR and transplant the motor into that? you've spent so much on the borg that you could of spent on a normal GSR... and plus the gsr has a good drivetrain to start with.. so ud already be up a couple grand on that..

GSR prices have dropped lots lately.. even evo 1 - 3 prices are around the 17k mark now.

what a stupid sentiment! Especially coming from you. Thats like me saying to you "Why waste all your money on the VR4, EVO and now a GSR, when you could have had an EVO 6.5 by now".

People do things for different reasons, no offense intended but thats a concept youve yet to learn!

to me it seems silly.. that youve spent almost 10k on a car that is half the value of that.. resell value is absoloutely shot and also the fact that when/if you get pulled over your up shit creek unless you have an engineers cert. for gods sake your evo hooks up much better then the borg and its almost stock.. in the end of the day if you wanna be 'individual' i guess it costs more... ie.. look at trav's car.. 10k spent on that and it runs 99mph..

reason why i bought the gsr.. well put it this way.. i paid half market value of a jspec GSR.. thats why i bought it.. and the fact that red TME's with ralliart stripes are soo hard to find and demand the same prices as Evo 7's.. im just waiting on the market to drop price once the Evo X comes in.

Dan you cant talk.. i saw Will last night.. lol he said your funny and dont listen to advice in the way you do things :p Then he gave me a 3.5k quote to paint my car :shock:

at the end of the day,

its personal preferrence, if he wanted a GSR im sure he would have brought one.

i am also sure he would know the plus's and minus's of each car as well.

to me its silly you would state the obvious, who cares if someone spends 10k on mods with a resale value of XXXX most car enthusiests spend money on their car to satisfy themselves not to satisfy other people or for resale value.

like why would someone spend 40k of a VL Turbo, when they could have F6 Typoon?
 
god.. didnt mean to spark are a debate.. im just looking at this borg and thinking.. VR4 drivetrain and new clutch.. thats another 2k being spent on the car.. then i think of the motor and the power it has made and think if it was in a GSR shell it would be in the 11s easy on its FIRST outing too.

with 230kw and new clutch + new vr4 drivetrain id be interested to see what it runs, obviously should be int he 120mph range.

the borg has the sleeper aspect to it..
plus he already has an evo.. no need for another..

remember the borg is the daily driver.. the evo will be the race car =)

not bad for a daily driver i say!

gsr's have been done to death also, so have the evo's...
its good to see something different..
 
yes mine did 99mph but on 12psi with a slow 2.0 60ftr, wait till you see it on 22psi :twisted:

Jamie had backed off for the 109mph because the clutch wasnt keeping it down and he backed off way earlier and ran 12.7@ 106mph

it wont be long to see 11s I think :D

Nick you dont own a green gsr lancer?

John, this was the car's first outing, there's plenty more left in it.

These cars are 150kg lighter than a GSR stock, plus if you really know about suspension setups, then you'd know that a solid rear axle is better for going in a straight line than an IRS setup.

Dont write this car off just yet, and hold your horses, the best C73a action in the country is yet to come 8)

to go that quick on its first ever outing with clutch issues and with the boost turned down is very impressive!

it was also a pretty warm night that night wasn't it?
 
not mine in 12s yet still running stock computer

but I didnt say cyborg I said Borg, I through the cy in the engine bay :lol:

Its a lancer GSR, not a 'borg, cyborg or whatever!


Its like calling a GSR an EVO, when its not even close!!!
