I just got a evo rocker cover for my engine and have cleaned it right up,

there is no more paint on it and it looks brand new inside aswell

Whats the best way to shave the letters off and polish it up?

if u want to shave it off nicely, get it machined (it will look really flat)
if u use a grinder, it will be a little wavey.... it could be done but u have to be very careful

best to machine the letters off, and then use your hand for the edge (sanding that is)

its a lot of work mate!
i went for the hyundai smooth rocker cover because it saved me from machining, but in the end it cost more coz i had to buy the studs / nuts etc..

also when u shave / polish it.. usually the letters will still be seen from the casting..

i'd just polish it with the letters on...
or paint it!

get it powdercoated a nice colour

and then polish the letters

OR

do you want to swap with mine that is already polished and shaved?

does anyone know where to get one polished in melbourne? and and approx price i would be looking at

I can see what you meen about the letters

I was thinking of painting

I want to get the ean fittings on it aswell

has anyone shaved and painted ?

take it to an engineering joint...

get it machined properley (could cost up to $150.00+ dollars for time because its a one off) and get it painted at a panel beaters or get a can and do it yourself...

or try and grind it with a grinder and sand it smooth with a block...
then paint it...

it all depends on how much u want to spend...
