So let me get this right- you can only race in CAMS events that the club you belong to is putting on?

No.

You can only get a cams license if your club is cams affiliated.

Also, they reckon you should be a member of a club that is close to you otherwise you'll have to do some searching to find events close to you.

I and some of my friends are members of a club in perth. That's how we got our licenses, but we obviously can't race in the perth events. but we -can- race in any events here.
