hey peeps...

gonna be removing the carbon canister out of the engine bay.. dont ask why and tell me its illegal etc.. anyways wot i wanted to know is, the vacuum looking hose that goes into the carbon canister, ive blocked those off... but theres another hose thats going behind the engine and possibly towards the back of the car that i cant see where its going.. is it just as simple as blocking that off aswell and does anyone know where thats actually going? :/

thanks in advance

The smell of fuel because it vents from the tank.

Vapours go from the tank and are stored into the canister. Then latter when the engine is running, it is released into the inlet tract to burn off these vapours.

You can do what you want with it as its your choice. Block it off and have the fuel tank pressurize, or leave it open and live with the smell of fuel vapours in the engine bay and possibly some water condensation entering the fuel tank.
As explained above the vacuum from the inlet manifold sucks the valve of the canister open and allows vapours from the fuel tank into the inlet and relives some pressure from the tank. There's no issues with leaving it all plumbed in and working as normal, it wouldnt rob any power you'd miss.
If you want a smaller discreet canister, grab one from an evo as its about half the size of a gsr one :)
