Hi. Can someone talk to me about catch cans for an na 4g63.
Pretty much what r the pros and cons and what's a good setup

Unless your pulling high power and high rpm, it's purely cosmetic.

My 2 cents......

Awaiting to be shot :w00t:

If the engine is healthy, then they are purely for wank factor, just like poofy blue timing belts :p.

does that mean when the engine is tired a blue timing belt is a good upgrade to keep it going for a while longer?

I heard pink timing belts last longer

but I really wanted to know how they work and what try r meant to actualy do

Pink timing belts, as if :p. just don't get me started on blue anodised "Duralium" wheel nuts .

To the OP, there are no cons to a properly setup catch can.

Yeah. I just wanted it cleared up. Coz some people say hook it up to pcv valve. Others to the part that goes into the air intake again (I can't remember what it's called). I'm just trying to get my head around all this stuff ha ha ha.

You can do both. If the pcv valve is owrking properly, oily air from the block will only get sucked into the intake on deceleration and therefore doesn't really cause any problems, it is just part of the emissions system.
The breather hose that goes into the intake is the main place to put a catch can in line as when the engine is under load, the oily air in the block gets sucked into the intake. This oily air is detrimental to fuel mixtures and can cause problems if the amount of oil vapour is excessive.

Cool. So pcv valve is not needing catch can. But putting one on ur breather hose us beneficial coz it cleans up ur air going in which means u have a nicer running engine coz the the air is not polited. I got it now :) thanks
