330 bucks for a new power window console....... PHUK that

anybody know if its the same in a Proton Wira/satria gti?

mine looks like this:

dan whats wrong with it? The guy i bought my gsr off fixed that mine.... he said it was a common problem. Im sure theres a way of fixing this easily.

hrmm have you taken it out and had a look at it? Im sure its fixable! I remember the guy telling me.

be VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL.

Thsoe switches have very tiny little springs that love to fly across the room (and you'll never find them again)

Also a lot of the rockers are just plastic and very easy to snap.

Try spraying the switch with wd40 or something and letting it dry. if you can still feel the switch rocking on the contacts, if you can't feel it rocking on the contacts you might have a switch taht came off or you might have a broken plastic bit (get a new switch)

the McPhuckwit at Mistu Nunawading said i had to buy a whole new console, even if only 1 switch was rooted.....

it still rocks back and forth, but i cant feel it clicking at any point.......

I got my switch board for my old GSR at N.G. Spares at chipping norton,(sydney) for $120

i got the same problem, 2 of my drivers door ones has the little lugs broken off, so the front 2 windows work fine but the back two don't. 300 is a rip off and im not paying that, just gotta keep a look out i suppose.

i had that happen to mine aswell. the drivers side little plastic thing broke. i tried gluing it but nothing keeps it there permenantly. at the moment i just have the cover off and i use the switch on the circuit board. good luck finding one! all wreckers i've tried either don't have em or ask for $200!! may as well get a new one!

oh yeah (that's my post above) , if you want i could post pics of how i have it so i can still use the window

here's how i have mine at the moment... dodgy as hell, but helps when it gets hot so i can still wind it up and down. (i accept no responsibility if anyone does get hurt by this picture :wink: )

yeah, u can actually just pop each individual switch out. so if u have them i would b interested in buying 2 of them
