Travis

there press in bearings. i just did all 4 wheel bearings on my gsr, there pretty easy 2 replace.

hey pad4g63
how much did ur bearings cost? if u dont mind me asking,
and where did u get them from?

thanks

the genuine bearings are under $100 each new from mits.

its also worth getting new circlips and seals at the same time

yeah thanks sivart,
im thinking when i change my pads i'll get those braided lines from the uk and while im there i'll replace the bearings coz i think they mite not hav been changed ever

I got my bearings from meek. If you look on there site i'm pretty sure they still have them listed there.

Edit. Just checked for you, they're listed under Diffs & Shafts, $85 dollars with seals.

I just did the goodridge brake lines and motul fluid, Ive never been in anything that stops so good

thats a cheap bearing, are they genuine shadow?

I know the mits ones are about $100, I havnt had time to check properly

i paid 55 each for the fronts with seals and about 50 for the rears. worked out to be 210 all up.
there the same brand as the originals koyo's if i remember correctly.

place called advanced bearings in blacktown sydney. http://www.advancebearings.com.au

They're not genuine mitsubishi, they're NSK off memory, but I can say i'm using them and had no problems.

--And never had problems with the quality of a product MEEK sells.

NSK is good, I think I hve one here already from another car i didnt put it in..lol

thats cheap as Pad4g63

can they be done in the car or do the hubs have to come out?

i dont know never tried, think it will be hard.

i dont know what brand the mitsubishi ones are but the 4 bearings that i pulled out of my car were all koyo's. theres nothin wrong with NSK there good aswell.

it would be easier if they were out of the car as a unit

then strip them on the bench, you can clean and check them a little better
then too.

If they make a noise when there rotated, such as a clicking sound, feel seized or don't move freely.

Edit: Come to think of it, you probably are talking about whilst they are still in?
Can hear a clicking sound as you roll towards a stop, particularly whilst turning (kind of like a CV noise but more of a click than a CV clunk). Also, jack the car up and spin the tyres.
