just wondering what can i do to get my rvr quick i heard i can upgrade to a td05 getting evo 3 injectors and chipping the ecu right?? where would i be able to get those stuff from!!!???

hey dude,

pretty much everything on this forum (E1-3) and even vr4 mods are applicable to RVR's, in the way of performance.

What you have mentioned is relativily correct, that sort of stuff crops up in the FS section quite often. just pay attention to what you want/need and you can find it.

Do what Rob Barac did with his RVR.
Dropped in his old EVO SETUP.

I think the thing ran 10s or 11's??

craig ......this guy will think your being rude. we know your not because Rob is Rob and we could have found out about Rob with a Google search. the this fellow probably doesn't know Rob would be worthy of a Google search.

hey Vuonguz.....search you tube for Rob Barac and you will find out who Rob Barac is. but dont search under yogi bear drag cars because chocolate bears cant drive

My opinion is this.

Exhaust and Intake
Turbo Upgrade (TD05 Big20G)
Piping
Injectors
ECU Tune (VR401 does a good job on them)

thats my opinion, but just depends on what you call cheap.

I drive a faily stocko Hyper TD04 Auto. Has Exhaust 3" Turboback, K&N Panel Filter and a chip from VR401 and it goes fast. I really dont need more power, infact, none of us do. I would say the upgrades I have are the best that could be done for money, but it depends what you want to spend.

Edit: To Answer you Q Better.

Turbo - GTPumps are an option. Not cheap but I hear they're good.
Manifold - Get a 6boost manifold from the guys in QLD, amazing unit, helps you spool quicker.
Injectors - 560cc's should do the trick, or 510's.
ECU Tune - Contact VR401 (on this forum) and speak to him, he's good. He's O/S At the moment, but when he gets back he should be able to help
Exhaust - Any shop should be able to sort you out on a system, but I suggest a good Stainless 3" Turboback with highflow Cat.

Besides that, the only other things you could do would be to get a set of Cams (to shift your power to the right more) and invest in a good clutch (to help the power get put down better) Otherwise, you've got a long road ahead of you in rebuilding motors, and playing the game of test and tune.

Matt is on the right track- i'd get a:

TD05 20g (Don't bother with GTpumps- you can get the same turbos off kando_dynamic or nikel_sport on ebay for half the price)
Aftermarket cast manifold (from the same guys)
560cc injectors
ECM link
3" Exhaust from turbo
Walbro Pump
Decent clutch
FMIC and piping
VR4 (or higher spec) cams

with 20+ psi you should be able to get close to 200kw atw

that sounds crazy... how much would the ecu cost from vr401 cost you guys reckon?
where would i get the injectors from ? evo3 injectors

You send VR401 your RVR ECU, and he re-chips it, with a socket. and writes you a custom chip from the information you supply via datalogging with Evoscan and a laptop.

I've had him do 2 of my RVR's and both of them had a noticeable increase in power each time.

CLuTZ, yeah I want more power, but I don't NEEED it :p

If you get an ecmlink, it turns your stock ecu into a fully programmable ecu, with a chip, you get it written once then thats it, you need to get another chip if you do any other mods. With ecmlink (the banner appears sometimes at the top of the forum) you can alter the tune as many times as you like.

E1-3 injectors are yellow top 510cc.

560cc are pinky/brown from E7 onwards (well those are the ones you want)
