clunk noise

hi guys

im having a problem with a sound i never heard of before. i have a 4g93t when doing my previous mods to the gsr exhaust manifold and wastegate. i had to get my tail shaft sent away to be looked at. when i went to take the car for a drive around the block with no tail shaft ( only running front wheels) there is a strange noise tapping, clunking noise when i accelerate then stops when im not on the throttle????

I know i have a split front cv boot and my steering rack needs to be replace could theses be the problem????

you should not be driving around without the tailshaft, you will end up destroying your center diff.

yeah i know that mate i only took it around the block. but i am wondering what the noise could be

get your tail shaft on and sorted first then go chasing noises.

BTW it can be 10 or so things so we would just be having a stab in the dark.

If you have a someone else to help you diagnose it helps better than one head trying to figure it out.

By the way you might have centre diff issues now due to running the car with no tailshaft would put massive stress on centre diff fingers crossed you dont get any problems with it now or down the line.
