just wanting to get a rough idea for a replacement clutch kit for an evo 5/6
mines just about to go, so i just want to get a heads up on what sort or cash i should be pulling out.
im roughly looking at either

5puck clutch
heavy duty brass button
either with a ligtened flywheel.
im aiming for powermods at aroudn the 280kw mark so what would u guys recommend or suggest in your experience?
im keeping my options open so let me know!

cheers,
mike.

For that power level, and if you want it to last I would honestly go a twin plate.

Depending on how you drive the car though.

A single could do the job on the street, but once you start giving it curry, you will end up frying it.

A twin plate will save you in the long run.

I would say twin plate also but if u want the cheaper way out you can get the

Exedy Sports cushion plate should cost around $1200

They are a nice single plate clutch :) im using 1

I dont see why anyone making 280 (genuine) kw would want a single plate- because you'll be replacing it again in a thousand kms.

I'd rather over rate my clutch, than under rate it, thats for sure.

yeah i was thinking about it for the whole day, i would rather go a twin plate instead of the 5puck or the cushioned button but in terms of that i know that rating the power levels would be at the wheels (ofcoarse) just giving a rough idea of where i want my power to be at.

in terms of that could any one list what clutch they have, price. and your thoughts about it.?

willing to spend a money on my pride and joy so money isnt really that much of a big issue.

cheers
mike.

getting a twin plate would be a better option considering your going to spend money on your car, roughly looking at around 1.5k
