hey guys,

since i got my slave and master cylinder replaced in the vr4, the gears have felt a bit crunchy.

it feels as though the clutch isn't going "in" far enough?

how do you adjust it so that you don't have to push the pedal through the floor to get the clutch to engage/disengage?

cheers,

mat :)

You could have a worn clutch fork and pivot ball. I just had my gearbox rebuilt and when fitting they noticed that the clutch fork had worn by 2mm, causing my clutch to be over adjusted and not letting the slave or masters to bled back properly.
This meant gears were hard to change(sometimes crunched). the quick solution was a washer behind the pivot ball. You might be able use an extention on the slave pin though.

theres an adjustable rod at the top of the clutch pedal

but if you didnt change it, and it was working fine
then i doubt that will fix the problem

It was fine before the clutch hydraulics got changed, which makes me think it may be an adjustment problem.

i might have a squiz at the rod above the pedal on the weekend.

i know all about broken clutch forks... the one in my rx7 was a y-shape. one of the "fingers" broke clean off it! :p
